Some Notes On Farmstead Shipping...
We are committed to shipping you the highest quality foods- but packages will only get shipped out Tuesday through Thursday.
We will also only ship 2-Day if we feel outside temperatures are cool enough, or worst case scenario- overnight, in warmer weather. All of our shipping packages are completed only when they have insulation, ice packs, and packing materials included. Each box will get the same treatment, with comprehensive attention paid to the quality, condition and secured future of our cheeses. Although unusual, it is possible that inclement weather and some 'auxillary' factors beyond our control, may impact delivery scheduling. Please be a smart shopper, and think about your situation and condition when shopping & shipping: for an example- If you are in the Rocky Mountains in January, you might want to consider expedited shipping due to the higher potential for a snowstorm.

Our Shipping:
2 Day: 2 business days delivered by 7:00pm
Overnight: 1 business day delivered by 5:00pm

When Is Farmstead going To Send My Cheese?...
We ship cheese and other yummy foodstuffs Tuesday through Thursday with the exception of holidays. All orders must be placed by noon to get processed for the same day. For those orders received after noon on Wednesday with 2 day shipping, the order will be shipped on the following Tuesday. Similarly, if you've placed your order after noon on Thursday with any service other than overnight, your order will likely be shipped on the following Tuesday.

Shipping Farmstead Cheese...
We want your cheeses to arrive like they were sliced right in front of you- so we make sure to take some precautions when we send your cheese out into the wild world of inter-continental mail service. We wrap your cheese in our special, imported, fancy cheese paper and then a layer of plastic wrap, to prevent leakage of the moister cheeses. We then package your cheese in an insulated shipper, complete with ice packs to insure that your cheese arrives at its glorious, stinky best.

Trusting Farmstead To Select Your Cheese...
Although you get to choose which selection you would like, we choose those cheeses that are tasting the best at that time for your collection. This is when you have to trust us, and let us do what we do best- focus on selecting the most delicious, beautiful and perfectly ripe cheeses for your enjoyment. This is part of the Farmstead shopping experience. If you are a cheese novice & unfamiliar with buying artisan cheeses there are some things you should know: 1. The Mold Is Supposed To Be There!: Please be aware that a few of the cheeses we may send you will have a healthy variety of molds growing on the rind. We find that these molds add character and a certain 'je ne sais quoi' to the cheese in terms of appearance, texture and flavor. If you happen to think that the rind is unacceptable, cut it off or simply don't eat it- just enjoy the pure flavors of the inner 'paté' or 'paste' of the cheese.

Did You Order An Item That Is Sold By Weight?...
If you've ordered an item that we must custom hand cut or slice, (such as most cheeses and meats), there will often be some variation in the pack size. For example, 4 pounds of thinly sliced prosciutto will arrive- but it might be 3.90 pounds or it might be 4.15 pounds. We will do our best to adhere as closely to your guidelines as possible.

What? You Want To Return Your Cheese?...
Every time we ship our products, the end result is a reflection of our shop, therefore, we aim to have all such products arrive in nothing but excellent condition. If, for some strange reason you are not completely satisfied with your shipment, please contact us in an expeditious fashion, so that we may address the problem ASAP. If the products of concern are perishable, like artisan cheeses and cured meats, you must contact us within 24 hours of receiving the product so that we can confer with each other and begin the necessary replacement process. If your product is damaged upon receipt, we will need to request gory details regarding the type of damage ('My Camembert is a pancake!') and a digital photograph of the damaged item(s) for our records, and so that we are better able to communicate problems with our shipping company.

It is our best intention to get your scrumptious foodstuffs to you as quickly as possible, and in an ideal condition, BUT we cannot take any responsibility:

* If the package is delayed due to inclement weather or other "Acts of God".
* If the order submitted has an incorrect address on the order form.
* If a package is not deliverable because a signature confirmation is requested by the driver, but the recipient is not available.
* If an intended recipient is not at home when the package is delivered.
* If a package containing perishable items is delivered on time but is not opened upon receipt.

Additionally, we will not ship to PO Boxes.
